Continuing from my previous post ~ This is my favorite photo from the set. I wanted to capture the sweetness and intimacy of the relationship between Hades and Persephone. This photo is part of the wedding set.Based on Sarah Diemer’s YA novel “The Dark Wife”, a lesbian retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth.

aaaaa it is crazy as shit when you come across your own tumblr feed!
Also, support this book! <3

So, I am quite possibly the luckiest girl in the world. :)
For my birthday, Girlfriend-chan took me to the most delicious sushi dinner + took me to the Zoo (my favorite place, after Casa Bonita!!) to go see a Red Panda (which was the most magical experience of my life.) She even bought me a little stuffed red panda to go home with me. Plus, she hosted my birthday party and helped me bake District 11 bread and made Morphling Bears… it was so wonderful and I was so happy! Best Birthday Ever!
Well, the other night she surprised me with my “real” gift: the new Swan Lake print from BABY THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT! AAAAAA! My favorite ballet designed by my favorite lolita brand?! HO MY GOODNESS! She even got me the matching socks! I can tell you right now, when I opened it, there were tears. A lot of tears.
I absolutely cannot wait to wear this! :D In the meantime, I’ll need to figure out a coordinate. :3 Yay!

This reminds me very much of Muenchen when I visited it last winter. I didn’t care so much for traveling during a very cold time of year, but I still found the snow and the city so magical.
That trip was easily some of the best couple of weeks of my life.

I’ve started thinking about tattoos again. I have lots of ideas, but I’m limited mostly by a lack of funds and secondly by indecision about placement - I’m a pretty modest dresser in my day to day life (people are often surprised to find I have a tattoo after months of knowing me, and it’s smackdab on my forearm), but costuming is a little bit of a different story. So, it’s hard to decide on a place that is a.) easily coverable for (future) job/costuming, b.) easily show-off-able for everyday, and c.) aesthetically pleasing. :) Anyway.
One of the ideas I had was the silhouette of a pirate ship, as an homage to Peter Pan, one of my all-time favorite stories. Maybe with some stars twinkling around it. Or maybe just a silhouette of Peter himself. Obviously, I need to hammer out the idea a little more, but I’d love to have a little piece of this story (which has meant so much to me over the years <3) inked on me somewhere (maybe on the small of my back.)
Before this though, I think I’d like to get my Plath tattoo. I have a little clearer idea of what and where I want that particular one. :)

Once upon a time, I used to make really pretty graphics. And write fic. And make icons.
And now I do this kind of shit. I USED TO BE CREATIVE. I USED TO BE MAGICAL.
Anyway, this was me in highschool. And… is now me in adult-life.

She’s gonna kill me, but I love my girlfriend. :)
(From Lilacwire’s (my oldest and dearest friend) wedding this past weekend. I had the honor of serving as a bridesmaid. I also had the hottest date (I mean, aside from the groom) and got to walk down the aisle with Deadpool. But that’s a different story.)

REBLOG FOR TRUTH.
Also, true story: in high school, a group of my friends and I had to do a project in our English class about F. Scott Fitzgerald. It was freaking amazing. My friend (the one I always write about - paper stars) made finger-puppets to re-enact The Great Gatsby and I wrote a short biography on Fitzgerald entitled Tender Is His Life.
Pretty sure we got an A on that shit.

I try not to take anything too seriously - especially myself.

Dahlia. :) I look like a 17 year-old girl who lives just east of the Mountains, with the heart of a 12 year-old who lives in Japan, and the soul of a 40 year-old who resides in Germany. Spoiler: I'm not 17, 12, or 40.

I try to use my Tumblr to express the things that go beyond words, but I also use it as an outlet to be just plain silly.

Here there be: Fashion. Nostalgia. Anime. Manga. Deutsch. Sylvia Plath (And Other Notable Female Artists). Music. Pretty Things. Japanese Boys. Literature. Gifts For My Friends. Silly Thoughts. Dreams. My Pathetic Japanese Skills. And every now and then... A Graphic That I've Made.
